I loved Belleruth's pregnancy CD and I credit it with a very relaxed, calm pregnancy and a short labor. I decided to try her weight loss CD and came across this one. So glad I got it. I have only listened to it a few times over the course of a couple weeks, but I can already feel it working in my brain. I love the thoughts and I know it's going to help me. I am already losing weight--and enjoying my veggies.

This CD has been a wonderful aid to me, and to others to whom I have recommended it... Not just with dropping pounds, though that is continuing to happen quite painlessly! (And without any sense of hunger or deprivation, without any grumpiness or fatigue!) It also helps with making healthy changes in eating habits quite easy: decreasing quantities, not being tempted to take seconds, eating less starches, eating more vegetables, nearly stopping eating - stopping craving - sweets, altogether. These changes amaze me, after a lifetime of fighting mediocre eating habits and excess weight. This "Weight Loss" CD contains two tracks: one is self-hypnosis, and the other contains subliminal suggestions beneath gentle background music. I would also recommend Dr. Illig's "Weight Loss & Self Improvement" CD of affirmations to be used when you are awake and asleep.

Dr. Illig presents a well scripted introduction, but for the body of the CD he seems to be more or less following or not following a set of note cards. His ideas are good, especially the one about going through a series of gates (one's blocks, I presume) but the digressions and qualifications are jarring. I use the subliminal cut more than the hypnosis one, for the same good ideas and because I can't hear him. I use this for variety from "Weight-Loss, Health Journeys" by Dr. Naperstek.
