Dear Belleruth,
I’ve been listening to you since I discovered you in 2008. My clients and friends have also been listening, since I often bring a boom box to the hospital or session and play a part of One of your CDs( that certainly dates me- the boom box and the CDs!) I think you knew my friend Bob, a social worker, and when his wife was going through a bone marrow transplant, she used your guided imagery. One social worker friend who got an immunization induced variant of shingles couldn’t sleep until I brought over your guided imagery. She jokes about going to bed with Bella.

Hi,
Could you please share if you have content specific to grief? My daughter's best friend (13) committed suicide.
The mother is also my best friend. I’m looking for other ways to help them both through the grief process.

Okay, we know what we’re about to say sounds over the top, but everyone around here is jumping for joy and popping with pride to introduce Caroline E. Ortiz, MPH MSN RN NC-BC, the translator, narrator, guardian angel and all-round Goddess-Protector of our brand-new Spanish Series, with her first recording, Una Meditación Guiada Para Relajación Y Bienestar.

Hello! Belleruth Naparstek here – clinical social worker and founder of Health Journeys. We’ve been producing and distributing evidence-based, psychologically sophisticated and medically accurate guided imagery and meditation audios by foremost leaders in the mind-body field since 1991, when (trust me) it was not such a cool thing to be doing the way it is now.
Anyway, I’m here to say: This, People, is Nurse Appreciation Month!
Now. Let it be known that we’ve always been nuts about nurses, every month of the year; and for years we’ve celebrated Nurses in May. So, it’s wonderful that the rest of the world has noticed the amazingness of nurses and is applauding what they do for the rest of us - with historic, unfettered enthusiasm and appreciation - thanks to their all-in response to caring for people slammed by this vicious virus, but – just sayin’ – nursing greatness is not news to us, and we’re no fly-by-night fans.

Hello there!
Here are some questions we’ve gotten about menopause. Lest this laundry list of symptoms gets you thinking this phase of life is nothing but the complete pits, let me just insert a reminder that there are two sides to this coin. Yes, there may be hot flashes, night sweats, interrupted sleep; possibly some weight gain, loss of sexual interest, anxiety about aging, depression… (although some will escape all of the above).
But there can just as likely be a sense of liberation, empowerment, renewed creativity, and a redefinition of self: more focus on being a voice to be heard, as opposed to something to look at admiringly.
