  1. It's Time Again to Think about Spring Break for the Kids

It's Time Again to Think about Spring Break for the Kids

Happy Spring, Peeps! Yes, it's time again to think about Spring Break for the kids. Many families travel but if that isn't in the cards for you and your kids how do you handle break from school? Do you keep them on schedule, or let them relax and be free spirits for the week? Schedule a plethora of activities or nothing at all?

I was clicking my way around the internet trying to survey what other people did with their kids during a staycation Spring Break. I found a website; Tip Junkie with some really cute things to do with younger children  . Scavenger hunts, crafts, homemade bubbles, hop scotch, airplanes - oh my! Almost made me wish I had a younger child again.... Almost (hehehe).

  2. A Stressful Time for Children

    A Stressful Time for Children

Happy Holidays -- you bet! Most of us enjoy and get caught up in the decorating and all the festivities that come this time of year. But one thing many adults don't realize is that it's also a stressful time of year for the children among us. It can be anxiety provoking when the routines are broken, schedules are whacky, good nutrition and bedtimes are compromised. And for the school aged kids it's an added factor having projects due and tests to take before Christmas break.... academic crunch time. As a Mom to a 13 year old man-cub I have a few things I'd like to share in trying to keep his world 'balanced' this time of year.

  3. Tell us what you think...

    Tell us what you think...

It may seem an open ended phrase, but it’s time to gather up some new submissions for potential use in our catalog and website. Ideally, I would love to know what topics you are looking for in an audio program, or an author’s name / title of a program you’ve heard and adore.  We have gotten quite a few leads for programs from past emails and comments that our customers have sent, so I thought this is where I should start my search.  Please post below any information you have so I can find specific programs. For those of you who are more creative, if you have made a program that you think is a fit for our catalog (and it is professionally produced) - please feel free to send a non-returnable demonstration copy to our warehouse address for evaluation.

  4. Meet Cheryl Pomeraning - Director of Operations

Meet Cheryl Pomeraning - Director of Operations

As Director of Operations, “Health Journeys, Can I help you?” has rolled off my tongue for over 17 years.  Frankly, I wouldn’t want it any other way.   After graduating from Kent State University, I was working in a restaurant when I received notice it would be closing.  As many of you can easily imagine, the stress of that impending blow weighed heavily – and to help, my sister loaned me her copy of Health Journeys’ Relieve Stress CD.  After listening to it a few times, I knew what I needed to do – I told my sister that I NEEDED to work for Belleruth.  (Fortunately for me, it was a locally-based company. Though sure, a more warm and sunny location might have been nice!)   So to make a long story short, we put my resume together and mailed it in.  Three weeks later I was sitting in the office for an interview, and as they say, the rest is history.

I have a Degree in Psychology so the mind-body connection has always been fascinating to me.  The connections I’ve made and stories people have shared with me over the years just affirms that this is what I was supposed to do and where I’m supposed to be.
