Celebrate Autism Awareness in April
Adults and children on the autism spectrum differ broadly, but nearly all struggle with anxiety, especially at changes in routine. Other challenges they face include compulsive, repetitive behaviors, sleep problems, overstimulated nervous systems and social difficulties.

According to the Autism Society, one percent of the world’s population has autism spectrum disorder, and the prevalence of autism in America is estimated to be one in 68 births. Autism is more common among boys, but girls with autism are likely to be more severely impacted.
