I am a Reiki practitioner. Reiki is usually a very silent practice, but I have begun using guided imagery tapes during some of my sessions with some of my clients. The results have been most dramatic and even more therapeutic than the Reiki alone. My work with one man with M.S. showed excellent, immediately perceived results when I added the M.S. tape. His muscle spasms were markedly reduced and his function improved and stayed that way for a few days. The same thing happened with one of my stroke clients and 2 people who come to me for chronic pain. I am very excited about these results and wonder if there is any research on combining these two modalities. Perhaps I’ll do some myself.

(Ed. Note: June, I’m not aware of any research on this. I would be very interested to see any studies along this line, including yours if you decide to do one.)
