I’ve been watching a crazy spike in online orders for our Weight Loss imagery, our Weight Loss Combo Pack and Weight Loss Sale Pack. Evidently Andy Weil gave our weight loss imagery a (typically) generous plug in his last Self-Healing Newsletter.. Greetings, everyone.

I’ve been puzzled, watching a crazy spike in online orders for our Weight Loss imagery, our Weight Loss Combo Pack and Weight Loss Sale Pack, until I realized that Andy Weil gave our weight loss imagery a (typically) generous plug in his last Self-Healing Newsletter. For the 3 people in America who don’t know who he is, Andy Weil is the guy with the big smile and fluffy white beard who frequently chats on CNN with Larry King (who, I’ve been noticing, is terrified of dying and wants to learn what vitamins to take to avert this calamity). Dr. Weil most recently wrote Healthy Aging, which, I’m very happy to say, is a sane, balanced, wise and expert look at getting older healthily. It thankfully is not about "impersonating youth", as Carolyn Heilbrun liked to call it. It’s good to see books like this making a dent on our youth-crazed zeitgeist.

I want to remind you all about the fabulous Women’s Retreat on Isla Mujeres, brought to you by those goddesses of personal growth and enlightenment, Ceci McDonnell MSW and Karen Rosenberg MSW. This year it’s happening on February 4-11, and each year we hear nothing but raves about the powerful experience of healing, deepening, creativity and self-awareness this week in the Circle of Women provides. Learn more about it at the Women’s Retreat web page and you’ll be pleased to know that, in addition to everything else this amazing workshop provides, it supports the Isla Beading Collective, a cottage industry that provides entrepreneurial resources to the women who live on the island year-round.

Don’t forget to look at our fabulous new resources , just posted for you online and due to greet you in our new catalog - everything from KRS Edstrom’s revelatory Fly without Fear to Jack Singer’s Core Sports Performance, to Shirley McNeal’s Test Taking Mastery, Philip Morse’s Kick Out Stress for teens, and Donna Eden & David Feinstein’s The Energies of Love for couples.. Oh, and check out our new Hot Research posting from an old colleague of mine from Cambridge Hospital days - turns out that psychiatry finally acknowledges what most recovering people have known all along - that Alcoholics Anonymous really works - and should be considered a first rank intervention, ahead of psychiatry! Doh.

OK, take care and be well.
