Hello again!

I happened upon a really nice overview on guided imagery (listen up, all you students working on term papers about mind-body tools!), especially when used along with psychotherapy, in this blog called Natural Nutmeg by social worker Caroline Temple, LCSW. Check it out if you’ve got the time.

And the best Away message I’ve seen in a  long time was crafted by my fabulous friend, Susan Piver, author of The Wisdom of a Broken Heart - a terrific, riveting and very wise book, by the way - more on that later.  For now, here is Susan’s away message, for all of you to enjoy too - it’s classic Susan:

I'll be away, Dec 9 - 25 with very limited access to email. Be patient, stay beautiful, and enjoy my absence. Susan

And speaking of fabulous, those of you who’ve enjoyed Your Sixth Sense and the accrued wisdom of 33 intuitives therein, one of them being Cynthia Gale, ceremonial artist and intuitive reader….  well, as of February,  she’s relocating her All Matters Gallery to 79 North Main Street in Chagrin Falls, Ohio.  (440.247.8979).

With 4 dozen artists exhibiting, she and co-owner artist and all-round nice guy, Rainer Hildebrand, will be celebrating their grand opening for 8 days, between February 12 - February 19th. These people do nothing halfway, so there will be Native American blessing ceremonies, artist demonstrations, a Friday evening open house on February 18 with musicians Tina Bergman (hammer dulcimer) and Bryan Thomas (acoustic string bass) and closing drumming ceremonies on the 19th with Joy & Alex Wedmedyk. So you gotta check it out - pop in get some one-of-a-kind gifts and sign up for a reading.

For those of you dealing with Lyme Disease, I want you to know about Donna Falcone’s new project - a website called Brighter Side: Living with Lyme. She says it’s a work in progress, but already it’s loaded with suggestions, resources and tons of support for those dealing with this frustrating condition, not to mention the providers who don’t believe it exists!
She writes, “My purpose in publishing "The Brighter Side: Living with Lyme" is to provide tools for daily living that may give guidance for reclaiming our power over this illness.  I say "our power" because I am in it with you, up to my eyeballs in lyme disease, bartonella, babesia, and all of the life changes that go with them.  We are literally in this together.   I hope that you find ideas and tools that work for you, and that you will share your own with the rest of us.

The Center for Mind-Body Medicine’s next super-popular Food as Medicine course will be June 9-12 at the Bethesda Hyatt, and I see that this time Jim Gordon has added one of my favorite people, nutritionist Kathie Swift to his fabulous line-up of presenters.  You can check out the thoughtful, cutting edge array of topics here.  If you’re thinking about doing this, sign up now - the spaces sell out pretty quickly.

Okay, Take care and be well!

All best,
