A previously sleepless trauma survivor expresses her delight at the way her life has opened up, starting with being able to sleep, then being able to chuck one of the antidepressants she was on Belleruth,
I''ve just got to update you. I wrote a few months ago telling you how I was having a positive reaction and response to the healthful sleep imagery. (This response was quoted in Invisible Heroes, where Hillary (not her real name) wrote: "I had been taking 10 mg of Ambien every night for the past 15 years.. I am surviving chronic depression, chronic pain and PTSD from sexual abuse..)

I continue to have a positive response, even though my CD died a few weeks ago and I haven''t been able to listen. Anyway, I am practically off Ambien altogether. I have also gone off one of my antidepressants, with my doctor''s guidance. I am sleeping each night throughout the night, but even better is that I am falling asleep easily.

I have struggled with insomnia for years and it is SO wonderful to get restful sleep on a regular basis. On top of all the sleep progress and getting off the medications, my psychological therapy is just progressing at warp speed. I am so amazed at all the good things coming together in my life. Yesterday, I was offered the job I really wanted, and will be ordained as a Presbyterian Pastor in the next few weeks. Something has really opened up for me and my life. Thanks - imagery has to be at least a little bit to blame for this!! :)
