Meditative Reflections by award-winning composer and performer, Steven Mark Kohn, provides 64 seamless minutes of exquisitely calming meditation music, to reduce anxiety, open the heart and lift the spirit. Originally created to score our highly acclaimed and effective guided imagery to reverse panic attacks, it is the perfect music to promote relaxation and create a peaceful holding space for working, thinking, connecting with others, problem-solving, meditating, or just settling down after an active day.
We are told many new mothers enjoy relaxing to this music while nursing their babies; and anxious writers report that they play this music to reduce anxiety to overcome their tendency toward worry and perfectionism while working at the computer screen. As always, Steve Kohn, Director of the Electronic Music Studio at the Cleveland Institute of Music and part of the composition faculty of this noted school, has created uniquely beautiful, nuanced and multilayered relaxation music for peace and deep, inner calm.
A gentle guitar/harp figure rolls through the piece, creating a rhythmic anchor, while several vocal and synthesizer pads provide a series of gentle slow-moving chords. A simple folk-like melody is passed back and forth between a breath flute, oboe and violin section. All these elements combine perfectly to provide an exquisite atmosphere for relaxation, renewal or just quiet work. Play a sample and see for yourself why this music to relax and renew is such a popular and frequently requested favorite. (64 min.)
