Finding Inner Peace Amidst COVID: Take 5
HAVEN is dedicated to the health and wellness of all healthcare professionals. Our mission and vision is to promote and support the health and wellbeing of our Connecticut health professionals. Never in our lifetimes has the wellness of our community been under such siege. We see stress and uncertainty in every area. Never have we felt so helpless.
We all need to take some quiet time for ourselves. These meditations and affirmations were selected with healthcare professionals in mind. They are all under five minutes. They can be listened to with complete anonymity and to whatever extent works for you. Using these research-based skills has shown to lower stress, promote better sleep, and enable positive energy and calm which are desperately needed during these turbulent times.
These are a gift from HAVEN to you, our healthcare community. They will be available for unlimited use for one year from May 11, 2020.
Please remember guided imagery is not a substitute for medical treatment or therapy. Do not underestimate the courage, strength, and bravery required for healthcare professionals to reach out for help. Please work with us to remove the stigma and barriers to care for health professionals.
If you think you or a colleague may benefit from HAVEN’s services, call us at 860 828-3175. We are available Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm with phone hours 9-12:00 and 1:00 -4:00.
Directing a professional to guided imagery does not satisfy mandated reporting requirements, if applicable. Call us if you have a question.
